INFRARED SAUNA
ABOUT INFRARED SAUNA
Infrared light (experienced as heat) is the invisible part of the sun’s spectrum with the ability to penetrate your body’s tissues, giving a soothing, natural “warmth”.
Solocarbon infrared technology is therapeutic because it is 95-99% efficient at heating the body directly rather than heating the air. Your core body temperature is raised, which produces a deep, detoxifying sweat at the cellular level, where the majority of toxins reside. Sauna sessions are 45 minutes.

MAKE AN APPOINTMENT | schedule online and be sure you get a confirmation email, text and/or phone call. Have questions? Give us a call and we’ll help you book your appointment!
COME IN EARLY | arrive 15 minutes early to your first appointment for check in and orientation. All first time sauna clients learn how to properly use the sauna and sign a waiver.
EXPECT WARM/DRY HEAT | infrared heat is different than a traditional, humid, steam sauna; targeted rays heat your body directly rather than warming the air around your body. Not to worry, you’re reaping the benefits of near, far and mid infrared rays even if you’re not pouring sweat!
CONSIDER BRINGING | personal items for after like deodorant and a comb. You can sauna nude, bringing a bathing suit is not necessary.
SET UP FOR COMFORT | have a snack or a light meal before your sauna session and avoid caffeine. Arrive well hydrated to prepare for the increase in core temperature.
CALL WITH QUESTIONS | we’re here to help and happy to answer questions!
EMBRACE THE CELLPHONE BAN | electronic devices can be damaged when exposed to high temperatures and are not allowed in the saunas. For your safety, use this opportunity to unplug.
AVOID | drinking alcohol before a session, this can lead to increased dehydration, which can be dangerous. Please reschedule your session if you have recently had a spray tan and/or used self tanner, as it can damage the wood and towels.
EXPERIMENT | with the time of day, duration and frequency of your sessions to see what works best for you!
TAKE YOUR TIME | stand up slowly when your session is complete. Feel free to dress in your room or wear your towel to the shower room to rinse off, it’s up to you!
NO NEED TO HURRY | there’s a separate area with mirrors, hair dryers, and lotion, where you can take as much time as you’d like to get ready.
COOL DOWN | skip the shower post sauna, allow your body to cool down slowly/naturally.
MAKE TIME TO SIT | you may feel energized or you could feel deeply relaxed and even lethargic. Give yourself some time to sit and enjoy a complimentary mug of hot tea and make sure to stay hydrated!
SCHEDULE YOUR NEXT SESSION | consider making your next appointment before you leave. This way you can decide and plan which time of day works best for you.
OPTIMIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE |sauna sessions can compliment some of our other services. Ask for suggestions on the best way to pair services during your visit.
